Program Overview
SAM Academy’s Brass Program provides focused, individualized instruction designed to build strong fundamentals, breath control, and performance skills across a variety of brass instruments.
Hours: M-F | 2:00 PM — 7:00 PM (Class times based on instructor availability).
Lessons Offered: Drums and Percussion.
Lesson Length: 30 Minutes.
Cost: $35 per lesson.
Age Range: Preschool & up — tailored lessons are available for young children.
Beginning Brass
- Instrument assembly and care
- Proper posture and hand position
- Embouchure formation and breath support
- Basic tone production
- Introduction to note reading and rhythms
- Simple scales and exercises
- Foundations of effective practice habits
Intermediate Brass
- Expanded range and scale development
- Improved tone consistency and control
- Articulation and tonguing techniques
- Intermediate-level music reading
- Dynamics and musical phrasing
- Introduction to ensemble performance
- Style studies (band, mariachi, classical)
Advanced Brass
- Advanced embouchure and endurance training
- Extended range and technical passages
- Complex rhythms and articulation patterns
- Advanced musical interpretation
- Solo and ensemble performance preparation
- Audition and competition readiness
- Stage presence and performance confidence
