As we welcome the start of 2026, we want to wish our entire SAM Academy family a Happy New Year and extend our hopes for a prosperous, healthy, and safe year ahead. A new year brings fresh opportunities, renewed inspiration, and continued commitment to the power of music and culture in our community.
Before looking ahead, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on what made 2025 such a successful and meaningful year for our organization. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our students, families, donors, community partners, instructors, and supporters who continue to believe in SAM Academy’s mission.
Thanks to your support, 2025 was a year of growth and momentum. We successfully scaled our Mariachi and folklórico programs, providing more students with access to culturally enriching, high-quality music and dance education. Our ensembles proudly represented SAM Academy at over a dozen performances and community events throughout the year, sharing our students’ talent, dedication, and cultural pride with audiences across the region.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to the parents and families of our students. Your encouragement, trust, and ongoing involvement are the foundation of our students’ success. From rehearsals to performances, your support makes a lasting difference and helps create an environment where our students can thrive both artistically and personally.

A Landmark 2025

Program Expansion: We successfully scaled our Mariachi and Folklorico programs, allowing more students than ever to connect with their heritage through music and dance.
Community Presence: Our students took their talents on the road, participating in over a dozen events throughout the year. From local festivals to formal performances, the SAM Academy spirit was felt all across the region.
New Rates for Instrument and Voice Lessons at SAM Academy
As we welcome 2026, we want to keep our SAM Academy families and supporters informed about our current lesson pricing. These rates are in effect for the 2026 year and allow us to continue delivering high-quality instruction, investing in our instructors, and sustaining the programs our students rely on.
For 2026, instrument lessons across all major categories—including Keyboard, Brass, Woodwind, String, and Percussion—are priced at $35 for a 30-minute private lesson, once per week. This consistent pricing structure ensures students receive focused, individualized instruction while supporting the continued growth of our music education programs.
Private Voice Lessons are offered at $45 for a 30-minute private lesson, once per week. Vocal instruction requires specialized, one-on-one training, and this rate reflects the level of expertise and personalized attention provided in each session.

SAM Academy is now enrolling new students for private drum lessons in 2026. We welcome beginners, intermediate, and advanced drummers looking to build technique, improve rhythm, and gain confidence behind the kit. Lessons are tailored to each student’s experience level and musical goals.
Music Theory: New Group Classes at SAM Academy
SAM Academy offers weekly music theory classes covering scales, the circle of fifths, and music reading in a supportive group setting.
Closed Monday, February 16, 2026
In observance of President’s Day 2026, SAM Academy will be closed for the day. No classes or lessons will be held on this holiday. We encourage our students and families to enjoy the day with loved ones, take time to rest, and reflect on the importance of this national observance.
